Today we will go over the vocab from last week and add a few more to the list. You can find the presentation on the Assignements page. We will then play a game that will quiz you on what you know.
1. Review vocab using PowerPoint presentation.

Hope you have all been studying... Today is the big day. Take your test and do your best. Remember to read the directions. That is very important as failing to do that may cost you points. Don't forget the extra credit!

Well, we are all glad that test is behind us. Now we will get away from vocabulary stuff for a while and jump into Microsoft Word. Since I know that most of you have been using Word for some time now, we will start out by giving you a couple of easy assignments so that I can see where we are at as a class.
1. Three Wishes assignment. Due Friday.
2. Poem or Quote assignment. Due Friday.
Friday, Septemeber 25
I want you to complete the assignments from yesterday first, and then work on your first journal entry. The class turn-in folders are not working correctly so you will need to print out all assignments and journals and turn them in to me at my desk.
1. Turn in Three Wishes assignment.
2. Turn in Poem or Quote assignment.
3. Journal Entry assignment. Weekly Reflection and then Where would you live and why?

We finally have a full week of classes this week... We will listen to the last couple Something to Say presentations and then begin learning some of the basic computer vocabulary we will need as we go through the course.

I know the vocab seems too simple, but we need to make sure that everyone is up to speed before we start using the terms in lessons. Besides, you will probably learn at least one thing you didn't know before.

My apologies for not doing a great job at making the class organized and fun so far. I have reflected on the past couple weeks and decided that I need to change some things so that you can have the best possible experience in this class. Starting next week, we will be going forward with a new routine and a much improved way to get through what we need to learn. I hope you find it both challenging and fun.

2. We will do the last Vocab review on Monday to prepare for the test next week.

Today was Frosh Camp so many students were missing. We used the day to get to know each other a little better. I got some great feedback from you guys and you got to know me a little better too. I am looking forward to next week as we start really working through our learning ibjectives so that we can get to some fun projects.

This week we are going to listen to each of you talk to the class for a few minutes to get you used to presenting and to help you refine your communication tecniques. We are also going to find out all about the Techno's World Inc. project.

First Day of School - Welcome to class! Today we will be getting acquainted and going over some basic information related to the class and logistics. You will need to make sure you have a student network account. If you do not or you have forgotten your password, you will need to get that information from the library. Whew! You made it through day one - great job! Today we are going to go over the course syllabus and outline your responsibilities as we jump into our first unit - The Basics. Tasks:

3. Discuss Techno's World Inc. and your roles for the next 9 weeks

Friday, September 4
End of week one. We are now going to start digging in to the meat of the course by beginning Unit 1. I want you to start thinking about any questions you have related to computers, software, the Internet, and how to use these things. Our goal is to adress those things and give you a basic understanding of these technologies and how they affect your life.

3. Introduce first presentation, "Something to Say" [instructions]
4. Pick topic and plan what you want to present
